Lexalytics® Enhances Feature-Rich Salience® Analytics Software
Lexalytics®, the leader in cloud and on-prem text and sentiment analytics solutions, today updated its Salience® text analytics platform with quicker, more accurate processing, easier configuration of query topics in accented languages such as Portuguese and Spanish, and the ability to contextualize sentiment statements using Boolean search logic. Salience is Lexalytics’ on-premise text analytics engine […]
With this new rollout, Salience 6.1 incorporates an improved Syntax Matrix™, Lexalytics’ proprietary technology that automatically parses text to understand how the phrases within a sentence relate to each other and enables the software to comprehend complex sentences quickly and accurately. For example, the sentences, It was a bad day until my brother Jim arrived,
and It was a bad day because my brother Jim arrived,
have very different meanings and sentiments. Salience’s natural language processing (NLP) capabilities can accurately distinguish such differences. The Syntax Matrix™ is the technology that also powers Lexalytics’ intention analysis, which helps predict a consumer’s behavior based on the statements they make online.
At evolve24, we work with some of the biggest brands to help them make critical business decisions based on insights derived from their big data,
said Noah Krusell, VP of Product Development, evolve24. The Lexalytics Salience text analytics engine is a key tool for us in conjunction with our proprietary emotion metric, and this next evolution of functionality promises an even more comprehensive look into the conversations our customers’ customers are having.
In addition to the updated Syntax Matrix, Salience 6.1 features the ability to configure the engine with or without accents, making it easier for users analyzing documents in accented languages like Portuguese and Spanish. Customers can also now use Boolean search logic for contextualizing sentiment statements. This allows for simple disambiguation of words like sick
that have different meanings depending on whether you’re talking about video games or talking about hospitals.
Lexalytics is the first company to provide built-in data for syntax and semantics, which lets us perform calculations faster, more accurately and more transparently than anyone else,
said Jeff Catlin, CEO, Lexalytics. This is an important step to providing truly vertical text mining, with optimized accuracy and ease-of-use for customer-service centric businesses like hotels where they simply want to improve the satisfaction of their customers and not worry about things like making sure their listening solution is accurately interpreting the text.
Lexalytics processes billions of words every day, globally, for data analytics companies and enterprise data analyst teams that need to tell powerful stories from text data. The company’s Salience®, Semantria® and Lexalytics Intelligence Platform™ products combine natural language processing with artificial intelligence to transform text in all its forms into usable data. Lexalytics solutions can be deployed on premises, in the cloud or within hybrid cloud infrastructure to reveal context-rich patterns and insights for voice of customer, voice of employee, customer experience management, market research, social listening, news monitoring and other business intelligence programs.
