It was a tense night; marketing gods and goddesses striding around in resplendent armor, each waiting with furrowed brow to see if their system, processes or thinkers had bested the others in the friendly competition known as… The Markies.
Set at the Masonic Auditorium in San Francisco, where only one victor would walk off the stage with head held high.
ADP has over 60,000 employees, Vocus has over 1,000, and Avid has won two Oscars, a Grammy, and 14 Emmys.
And then there’s us. Small, scrappy, innovative. Smart. Crafty. And, we’ve got an “Inc.”, so, that’s something.
Dashing! I’m the second best looking person in this picture.
Ok, so, Avid’s Oscars aren’t in any danger. In case you’re wondering what I’m saying right when it gets shut off, it’s “No Way!”. Given the quality of the competition, I was, well, shocked. Marc simply looked at me with a glance of “Oh ye of little faith.”
Congratulations to my marketing automation wizards: Oleg Rogynskyy, Rami Nuseir, and Marc Mastrocola!
