Salience 5.1.1 Feature Highlight: Emoji Identification

With the continuing rise of mobile use for various social media sites, and the default enabling of multi-byte “emoji” characters in operating systems for the Windows Phone and iPhone, it’s important to be able to recognize a smiley face when we see one – whether it’s a “:)” or the Unicode smiley, it’s still positive sentiment, and we recognize it as such.  (Along with lots of others!)



There’s also emoji for physical things, like “pizza”, and we are able to recognize and classify for, say, “food”, when we see an emoji like that.
